  • What happens next — We'll get back to you via the contact method you chose, as soon as we can.
  • Cancellation — Free cancellation until 23:59 JST two days before your tour (e.g., tour on Sep 7 → cancel by Sep 5, 23:59). After that, no refund.
  • Reservation fee — The $50 (¥8,000) reservation fee is non-refundable in all cases.
  • Date changes — One date change per booking is welcome, subject to availability. Once the date has been changed, the booking can no longer be cancelled or refunded.
  • Expenses on the day — Entrance fees, transport, meals and experience fees are paid directly by you on the day. Some venues require payment before the tour date; we'll let you know in advance.
Full terms

Payment

The tour fee is paid in advance through Square in a single payment. Cash on the day is not accepted unless arranged with us beforehand. Third-party costs — workshops, entry fees, food and drink — are charged at cost with no markup, and settled at the end of the tour day (or invoiced in advance where a venue requires it).

Cancelling

Free cancellation until 23:59 JST two days before your tour. After that, or if you don't show, no refund. The $50 (¥8,000) reservation fee is non-refundable in all cases.

Zoom concierge — if you cancel after your Zoom session has taken place, a further $30 (¥4,500) is non-refundable. This applies to the 8-hour tour as well.

Typhoons or official weather warnings: a new date or a full refund. A cancellation on our side: full refund.

Concierge call booked on its own: full refund up to 24 hours before the call; none after it.

Date changes

One date change per booking is welcome, subject to availability. Once the date has been changed, the booking can no longer be cancelled or refunded.

Insurance

We carry liability insurance, but we cannot take responsibility for personal injury or illness, or for loss or theft of belongings during the tour.

Guests only

This tour is for travellers only. Joining for the purpose of competitor research is not permitted and will be charged a penalty of ¥500,000.

Changing numbers

Fewer guests: tell us more than 48 hours ahead; after that we charge for the original number. More guests: if we have room.

Running late

We wait 30 minutes at the meeting point. The tour still ends at the planned time. If we can't reach you after 30 minutes, it counts as a no-show.

Weather

Rain doesn't stop us. Typhoons and official warnings: a new date or a full refund. If a place we planned closes unexpectedly, we put something equal in its place.

Refunds

Refunds are processed within 5 business days, issued to the original payment method in Japanese yen for the yen amount originally charged. The amount you receive in your own currency may differ due to exchange rates or bank fees, and we do not compensate for that difference. Cancel by WhatsApp or email; the time we receive it, Japan time, is what counts.
